TAFISA World Congress Postponed to 2022

Dear TAFISA Members and Friends,

We hope that this message finds you, your families and colleagues in good health.

In light of the ongoing challenges and uncertainties that the COVID-19 pandemic has posed globally - on behalf of TAFISA and the Olympic Committee of Slovenia - Association of Sports Federations, the Organising Committee of the 27th TAFISA World Congress 2021 would like to inform you that, with the full support of the Slovenian Authorities, decision has been made to postpone the event initially scheduled to be held on 6 – 10 October 2021, to 2022.

The 27^th TAFISA World Congress will now take place 
on June 8 – 12, 2022 in Portorož, Slovenia 

In this context, the TAFISA General Assembly will also be postponed to June 10, 2022 with the approval of the TAFISA Board of Directors. This is in alignment with the law in Germany where TAFISA as a formal organisation is legally registered. You will be informed about next steps and new dates related to official registrations namely Nominations for Board of Directors Election as well as Call for Hosts to bid for TAFISA Events. 

Please note that the conditions for participation the 27th TAFISA World Congress remain unchanged. You will continue receiving periodic updates about the event in due course.

The health and safety of the TAFISA family and Congress participants is our priority. Despite the postponement of the General Assembly and Congress, our daily work of supporting the Global Sport for All Movement and empowering our 370 member organisations remains unaffected.
