The TAFISA World Congress returns this year to Düsseldorf, Germany! The main theme of the next congress will be “Sport for All: More together than ever”.
The 28th version of the TAFISA World Congress is organised by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the State Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, the regional sports confederation of North Rhine-Westphalia and TAFISA.
The congress will take place in Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. Düsseldorf is a liveable and loveable, modern and multicultural, traditional and tolerant city in Germany. It is also one of Germany’s most fashion-conscious destinations and a truly sports city with many professional sports teams and a wide range of sports opportunities. Düsseldorf is part of the Rhine-Ruhr area, the largest urban area in Germany.

General Assembly
The General Assembly will form part of the 28th TAFISA World Congress to be held on 3 November 2023, at the same venue. We encourage all TAFISA members to attend the General Assembly, which is the opportunity for members to share their views and vote on important issues integral to the future development of TAFISA, and the Sport for All movement.
Take the opportunity to become part of the 28th TAFISA World Congress 2023, Düsseldorf, Germany! Submit your idea for the Poster Session to tafisa-congress2023@dosb.de until 30 June 2023.
This year’s World Congress goes by the main theme: Sport for All – More together than ever while digging deeper into the topics: Inclusion, Active Spaces, Well-Being, and Knowledge & Expertise in consideration with the crosscutting themes: Peace, Youth, Major Sport Policy, and Climate Change.
Interested parties are welcome to submit contributions to present and discuss their progressed research or projects relating to the following categories:
All submissions will be reviewed by the Congress Programme Committee, and applicants will be notified of the results by 31 July, 2023.
