Happy Sport China Visits TAFISA Office

TAFISA was honored to welcome a delegation from the Happy Sports China group to its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, to discuss potential venues of cooperation.

Led by Founder and Chairwoman Zhou Li, Co-Founder and Executive Director Johnny Song, and General Manager of International Center Dean Chen, the Happy Sport China delegation met with TAFISA President Wolfgang Baumann, Board Member Jacqueline Kronenburg (Knowledge Centre for Sport and Physical Activity Netherlands), Secretary General Jean-François Laurent, and Head of Operations Gaëtan Garcia. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss shared visions, potential partnerships, and avenues for collaboration in advancing Sport for All globally.

During the meeting, both organizations explored ways to expand their impact through joint initiatives, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships. The dialogue underscored the importance of collaboration in overcoming challenges and creating sustainable opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage in sports and physical activity. With their commitment to promoting grassroots sports and fostering physical activity within communities, Happy Sports China shares TAFISA’s mission of using sports as a vehicle for positive change. Their innovative approaches to increasing participation in sports contribute to building a healthier, more inclusive, and active world.

This European visit provided an opportunity for the Happy Sports China delegation to visit Ljubljana, a certified Global Active City, and exchange with Deputy Mayor Dejan Crnek and TAFISA Treasurer Janez Sodrznik, Msc. (President of Sport Union Slovenia) on their experience promoting physical activity within the city setting.
