On 21 January, the REACH (Reshaping Engagement, Advocacy, and Capacity Building for Youth in Sport for All) Project officially kicked off with its first online partners’ meeting, marking the beginning of a journey to promote youth leadership and inclusivity within the global Sport for All movement.
The project's main objective is to foster leadership skills and inclusivity and advocate for the needs and interests of young people within the Sport for All movement – enabling them to take on volunteer, leadership, and decision-making roles and responsibilities within Sport for All organizations. The project relies on its strategic partnership consortium of 9 members: TAFISA, University of Limerick, Organisation représentative des jeunes dans le champ du sport et de l’animation (ANESTAPS), European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE), Estonia Sport for All Association, Sportna Unija Slovenije (SUS), Federazione Italiana Giochi e Sport Tradizionali (FIGeST), UkraineActive, and TIBU Africa. In addition, three associated partners will also contribute to the project: Sasakawa Sports Foundation (SSF), Sport for Life Canada, and the Knowledge Centre for Sport and Physical Activity of The Netherlands.
During the kick-off meeting, partners reviewed the project’s objectives, rationale, timeline, and deliverables again, reaffirming their commitment to this transformative two-year journey that will culminate in December 2026.
