On 4 April, INTERACT+ reached an important milestone with the successful delivery of its second "Train the Trainers" Workshop, preparing eight new facilitators to lead future INTERACT+ Capacity Building Workshops across Europe and beyond.
This online event marked a significant evolution in the project’s training approach, not only preparing a new cohort of trainers but also showcasing an updated and interactive training format that embodies the spirit of the INTERACT+ project.
Facilitated by ITTF Foundation Foundation TT4ALL Coordinator Mayssa Bsaibes and European Flying Disc Federation Sport4All Advisor Jörg Benner, the workshop welcomed eight enthusiastic participants representing six international and European sport federations. With the completion of this workshop, INTERACT+ now has 8 trained facilitators qualified to conduct Capacity Building Workshops—an achievement that ensures the project’s sustainable growth and wider reach.
The workshop featured a fully renewed format designed to maximize engagement and interaction. Divided into four one-hour modules, the program combined theoretical input with hands-on activities and collaborative discussions. In true INTERACT+ fashion, the training also included active breaks led by participants, keeping energy levels high and embodying the project’s commitment to movement and physical activity.
The response from participants was overwhelmingly positive. “It was easy to connect and a very good way of presenting,” said Ulrike Lehmann, European Flying Disc Federation. Zofia Szpila-Pojasek, International Dance Organization, shared, “At the end of a long week, I feared that I lacked the energy. But the workshop boosted my energy instead.” Participants praised the atmosphere, interactivity, and structure of the training, expressing enthusiasm for applying their new skills.
With this new group of motivated and capable trainers, INTERACT+ is better positioned than ever to deliver its mission of activating citizens through sport. The project, led by TAFISA in collaboration with nine partner organizations, has already conducted seven Capacity Building Workshops with over 150 participants worldwide. With more to come before the project’s conclusion at the end of 2025, the future of INTERACT+ looks bright.
