The Estonian Beach Sport Federation hosted the 2nd meeting of the BeActive Beach Games project partners on May 16-17 in Tallinn, Estonia. The project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, aims to develop a model for the organisation of beach games with a view to increase participation levels in Sport for All and Physical Activity. The model aims to take advantage of outdoor spaces to motivate people to be more active, understanding “beaches” to be not limited to seashores and ocean coastlines but also include areas near rivers, lakes, swimming pools and all open spaces where “beach sports and activities” can take place. Project leader Latvian Sports Federations Council will organise a BeActive Beach Festival on August 17-18 in Riga, Latvia.
