On 19 - 20 October, the TAFISA Board of Directors held its second physical meeting of 2024 in Trinidad and Tobago, hosted by the Ministry of Sport and Community Development, Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee and First Citizens Foundation. This gathering allowed discussions surrounding the TAFISA roadmap, upcoming events and forums, and strategic direction for the coming years.

Following the productive Board Meeting, the Sport for All Forum - The Trinidad and Tobago Perspective convened, offering an exceptional platform to engage with key stakeholders of Trinidad and Tobago’s Sport for All Movement.  The Forum commenced with a welcome address from the Director of Sport and Physical Education, Ministry of Sport and Community Development, followed by additional welcome remarks from TAFISA President, Wolfgang Baumann.

Following the welcome addresses, a keynote speech was delivered by TAFISA Board member Keith George, emphasizing the importance of Sport for All within the region and beyond. During the panel discussion, TAFISA Vice President Cathy Wong contributed valuable insights, addressing key topics and fostering an environment of shared learning and collaboration.

The forum was pivotal in raising awareness about TAFISA and its programs, providing opportunities for networking with Sport for All stakeholders, and highlighting national initiatives and best practices in Trinidad and Tobago. This engagement will help TAFISA ensure its activities align with the specific needs and expectations of the region.
