From 21 - 24 November, TAFISA successfully hosted the Certified Leaders Course (CLC) Level 1 in Kigali, Rwanda, welcoming 36 leaders from various sports federations. This transformative program aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to drive social change and foster community development through the Sport for All movement.
The four-day course was expertly facilitated by Game Mothibi and Paulina Lanco, alongside newly trained local facilitators Fiona Ishimwe and Jean Claude Byiringiro. Together, they delivered five comprehensive modules focused on leadership, inclusive program design, policy alignment, and sustainability. Participants collaborated in groups to design four innovative community projects, each of which will receive funding for implementation, turning theory into tangible impact.
The course, delivered in partnership with the Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee (RNOSC), is part of the SUCCEED Framework developed by TAFISA and supported by the IOC through the Olympism 365 strategy.
By building local capacity and training new facilitators, the Kigali CLC has set the stage for lasting impact, with Rwanda set to host CLC Level 2 in March 2025. This initiative marks a significant milestone in fostering sustainable leadership within Sport for All, ensuring the movement continues to inspire and transform communities globally.
Stay tuned for updates as these projects take shape and continue to inspire change!
