INTERACT+ project partners meet in Limerick!

From 19-21 April 2023, the University of Limerick hosted the first transnational partner meeting of the ‘International and European Sport Organisations Activate Citizens–Plus (INTERACT+) project. Led by TAFISA, INTERACT+ is a 36-month project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, aiming to bridge the gap from theory to practice by supporting and positioning ISOs as key leaders of the Sport for All and physical activity movement. This will encompass developing a new Sport for All delivery model and creating a knowledge and experience-sharing platform between ISOs and their National Federations.

The project meeting in Limerick was attended by representatives from TAFISA, the University of Limerick, the International Fistball Association, International Dance Organisation, World Minigolf Federation, Confederazione Boccistica Internazionale the European Flying Disc Federation, and joined remotely by the International Table Tennis Federation Foundation.

During the three-day meeting, participants engaged in constructive discussions and open exchange of ideas, creating an inspiring atmosphere that contributed positively to the project's progress. The meeting focused on discussing all the work packages, and each participant's input was highly valued in shaping the project's direction.

In addition to discussing key elements of the project's development, the partners also had the opportunity to experience various Gaelic Games.
 

First INTERACT+ Advisory Board Meeting

The INTERACT+ Advisory Board met for the first time online on Thursday, 20. April 2023. The Advisory Board consists of 14 International Sport Organisations, which will support the INTERACT+ project through consulting with their expertise throughout its lifetime. The meeting took the initial step into the consultation phase and discussed the Advisory Board Members’ role in piloting different steps of the project.
