International Pilates Heritage Congress Takes Place in Mönchengladbach

On 1-4 September, the Pilates Heritage Congress was held in Mönchengladbach, Germany.

Kathy Corey, President of World Pilates Confederation (WPC), a TAFISA Member organisation, gave a very gracious welcome and appreciated the presence of 131 outstanding coaches from 36 countries. 

She said: "Pilates instructors from different countries have participated to improve their technical and theoretical abilities."
The specialised classes of the Pilates machine challenged the trainers both scientifically and practically. 

Lolita San Miguel, who is one of the pioneers of Pilates, was also present at the congress and was invited as a Member of the WPC Board of Directors.

Reiner Grootenhuis and some other coaches have been invited to be WPC Board of Directors Members.

Grootenhuis announced that through WPC Vice-President Iman Mottaghiannejad, WPC has applied and been accepted as a TAFISA Member. 
He praised Mottaghiannejad for his valuable support to the Pilates community.

On 1 September, Mottaghiannejad met with TAFISA President Wolfgang Baumann at the TAFISA Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, where TAFISA confirmed its support to its member organisation WPC.
