Safeguarding is essential to making Sport for All inclusive, welcoming, and safe to all. However, reports highlight a non-negligible number of youth dropping out of sport due to feeling unsafe or unwelcome are still. How can we provide adequate safeguarding and create a safer and more inclusive environment in sport?
In our effort to make sport and physical activity safe, welcoming and inclusive, TAFISA is hosting "Safeguarding and Protecting Practitioners in Sport for All" webinar to shed light on the importance of safeguarding, share expert perspectives, and introduce TAFISA's latest initiative - the Safeguarding in Sport for All Guidelines
Join us on the Safeguarding and Protecting Practitioners in Sport for All webinar to learn more about how we can better promote a culture of safety and inclusivity in sports!
Key Topics:
During the webinar, TAFISA will launch its Safeguarding in Sport for All Guidelines, which build upon internationally-recognised safeguarding frameworks and aim to establish a secure, healthy, and engaging environment for sports and physical activity participation. These guidelines will – among others – be enforced through the Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway, developed as part of a partnership between TAFISA and Nike, which will be launched in September 2023. Additionally, they will serve as a foundation for members of the Global Sport for All Movement to have a meaningful conversation on addressing safeguarding concerns and ensuring that sport is safe and enjoyable for all. By participating in this webinar, you'll not only gain insights into the guidelines' implementation but also unlock valuable perspectives and best practices shared by global experts in the field!
