The TAFISA Webinar - Europe was successfully held on 13 July, starting a series of webinars for TAFISA Members. Around 30 participants from over 15 countries in Europe joined the 90-minute online event.
The webinar focused on how to face COVID-19 and prepare for a new start. It was a great opportunity to exchange experiences, challenges, ideas, solutions and learning from the COVID-19 wave, and find ways to support each other.
Following words of welcome from TAFISA Board Member Janez Sodrznik (Slovenia Olympic Committee - Association of Sports Federation), TAFISA Members Efi Mouzourou (Cyprus Sports Organisation), Mutlu Turkmen (Turkish Sport for All Federation) Jacqueline Kronenburg and Dorien Dijk (Knowledge Centre for Sport Netherlands), and Jorge Carvalho (Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth) shared their experience and insights on how the Sport for All Movement carried on through the pandemic in their country.
The webinar then turned into a conversation between participants learning from each other how each country responded to the pandemic and designed innovative solutions to tackle these new challenges. The webinar was concluded as TAFISA shared new initiatives developed for its members, including online TAFISA Certified Leadership Courses, the exclusive international course in Sports Event Management (with the ROC and RIOU) and the upcoming TAFISA World Walking Day 2020.
