TAFISA members are invited to join Summer School in Nancy, France from 23 to 25 October 2024! The «Health Promoting Sports Clubs Summer School» is designed for PhD students, early and mid-career professionals, including researchers and policy-makers, and postgraduate students working in the field of health or sport, with a specific attention to link the two fields.

The course will provide insights on how the settings-based approach is applied to sports clubs, question the relationship between health promotion and sport and also provide examples and shared practice on how to implement health promotion in the sport setting. 

The summer school will equip participants with following competences:

  • Understand the settings-based approach and its application to sport setting, called health promoting sports clubs
  • Investigate the different application of the health promoting sports clubs’ model in practice
  • Identify key tools and methods to apply the health promoting sports club approach
  • See how to link their projects and health promoting sports clubs’ approach
