As part of FLOT project, an online Certified Leadership Course (CLC) for Sport for All was organised by TAFISA starting March 25th, 2021. The course is distributed over 10 weeks to total 20 hours of online training until 3 June. 2021.
This online programme is an internationally accredited course, providing an opportunity for the FLOT mentees to strengthen their understanding of key components involved in the Sport for All movement. Sessions are led by a range of professionals within the sector, coming from a variety of backgrounds to present their expertise on specific topic areas. Successful completion of the course will provide participants with the necessary skills to act as ambassadors and empower others within Sport for All.
The course was officially launched on Wednesday 25th March where TAFISA President, Prof. Dr. Ju-Ho Chang joined to share an insight on the Global Philosophy of Sport for All. Since then, the CLC has covered a range of topics, including Strategy Development, Traditional Sport and Games, and Communication, Public Relations and Marketing, just to name a few.
The mentees have remained committed to the CLC throughout its duration, and will take some of the learnings offered and transfer them to their FLOT projects as well as their own academic and professional settings. Despite the challenging nature of weekly virtual meetings, the enthusiasm of all has created a thriving space for knowledge transfer that has led to the success of the programme thus far!
TAFISA Certified Leadership Courses in Sport for All were developed to train and qualify national Sport for All leaders around the globe. Since their inception in 2007, and with the IOC support since 2010, more than 50 TAFISA International and National CLCs have been successfully hosted by TAFISA members and NOCs all over the world, resulting in an international network of more than 1000 graduates.
