TAFISA Joins Pacific Regional Sports Reference Group

TAFISA is honoured to have been invited by the Pacific Regional Sports Taskforce, which led the Oceania Olympic Committees (ONOC), regional UNESCO and WHO representations, Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme, University of the South Pacific and national governments of the region, to join the Pacific Regional Sports Reference Group.

TAFISA Special Advisor for Oceania, Ms Wendy Gillett, has been nominated to integrate the group on behalf of TAFISA.

The Pacific Regional Sports Reference Group is coordinated by the Pacific Regional Sports Taskforce formed in April 2019 based on an advice from the Forum Economic Ministers. The Pacific Regional Sports Reference Group takes part in the regional consultations and supports coordination and implementation of the Pacific Sport, Physical Activity and Physical Education (SPAPE) Action Plan 2019-2030.
