TAFISA and AUSC Region 5 Present during UNODC Webinar

On 22 October 2020, TAFISA and the African Union Sport Council (AUSC) Region 5 were invited to jointly speak at a webinar hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on the topic of sport-based initiatives for youth crime during COVID-19 in South Africa. This online workshop, as part of a series, aimed to explore the impact and adaptability of sports-based programmes that address crime prevention, to the COVID 19 context (during and after), with a view to identifying and inspiring future programming. 

Under the theme of Integrating sport in crime prevention policies and interventions, TAFISA Business Development and Fundraising Manager, Keri McDonald, and AUSC Region 5 CEO, Stanley Mutoya, discussed how to transfer Policy to Practice using Sport for All as a solution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals from a global and a southern Africa perspective.
