TAFISA, in partnership with SportBox, has launched a Call to Action to Democratise Access to Sport for All in public spaces.

This Call to Action is a resource that can be used to educate local stakeholders, provide guidance on the next right steps using data and recommendations from leading organizations, and showcase best practice examples in the field.

The Sasakawa Sports Foundation (SSF), a Tokyo-based TAFISA National Member, has released its latest report titled "2023 National Sports-Life Survey of Children and Young People." Since 2001, the Sasakawa Sports Foundation (SSF) has conducted its Sports-Life Survey on children in Japan Ages 10 to 19, with the goal of achieving “Sport for Everyone” by understanding exercise and sports participation of children during after-school periods

On 30 April, TAFISA President Wolfgang Baumann was invited to DIGISUSTAIN to speak at a panel on “Sport in the context of international crises” as part of the “Sport X Sustainability” stage.

The SIMS project partners converged at the 86th AIPS (International Sports Press Association) Congress from 28 April to 2 May in Santa Susanna, Spain.

We are happy to announce that TAFISA will be hosting a webinar in partnership with SportBox on the topic  "Democratising Access to Sport for All: Unlocking the potential of public spaces", on 15 May 2024, 12:00 – 13:00 (UTC+2/CEST).

On 26 April, the city of Plovdiv welcomed 200 participants to the Sport for Planetary Health conference. Organised by BG BeActive, the event gathered representatives and experts from the region and all over Europe to look at how sports can be an effective tool to promote sustainability, environmental protection, and overall planetary health.

On 23 April, TAFISA's Senior Manager, Game Mothibi, attended the World Table Tennis Day celebration in Leipzig, Germany. The event took place at the Promenaden Leipzig Central Station and focused on the theme of Diversity and Inclusion. Alongside the celebration, the #TTBelongsToYou Tournament was organised.

Partners of the EU-funded KESCAB Online Hub project held a virtual meeting on 22 April to discuss the project tasks, review the project progress and make decisions concerning forthcoming developments.
