On 6 December, TAFISA hosted a full day virtual Europe in Action project partner meeting which was attended by all nine partner organisations. This was the 10th partner meeting of the project and the 7th of 2021. The meeting was split across the full day via three sessions.

Held from 11 October to 30 November, the online CLC once again illustrated the growing partnership between TAFISA and the African Union Sports Council Region 5, as well as the increasing capacity of the region to develop Sport for All.

On 10 November, the 5th Annual Forum for Anti-Doping in Recreational Sport took place in Brussels, Belgium, and was broadcast live to participants from all over Europe.

The INTERACT Project Partners met on 9 – 10 November in a hybrid format in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.  Organised by TAFISA and hosted by State Sport Federation of Hesse (Landessportbund Hessen e.V.), the meeting provided an opportunity for all the participants to reflect on the status of the project, refine the outputs, and discuss about the next steps.

Following the success of our previous Workshop on Good Governance, we are happy to announce that our last Workshop of the year will be hosted on 14 December 2021, 14:00 – 16:00 (UTC+1) in partnership with Sport and Citizenship. Save the date!

UNESCO’s new campaign Fit for Life is a new sport-based flagship designed to tackle contemporary challenges such as physical inactivity, mental health issues and inequality to foster peaceful, inclusive and resilient societies.

On 3 November, more than 150 participants from over 60 countries joined the webinar “It takes a Community to Raise a Physically Active Child”. Hosted as part of the online webinar week organised by the Knowledge Centre for Sport & Physical Activity, Netherlands, the webinar focused on children and youth (0-18 years) and their level of physical activity.

The 27th IAKS Congress was staged in a hybrid format for the first time in Cologne, from 26 to 29 October 2021.
