From Monday 2 August to Wednesday 1 September 2021, the Sport for All Federation (SFA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted the region’s inaugural IOC-supported TAFISA Certified Leadership Course (CLC). The course took place twice per week across five weeks and was held online due to COVID-19 restrictions.  

On Wednesday 1 September, TAFISA hosted the 8th Europe in Action project partner meeting. The partners have been meeting virtually every eight weeks which has provided pivotal moments for discussion regarding the various work packages and developments within the project. 

During a couple of drop-in sessions in August 2021, the Female Leaders of Tomorrow (FLOT) mentees, mentors and partners came together to catch up on the progress made within the project and to discuss next steps.

The English version of the Report of the 26th TAFISA World Congress, Tokyo, 2019, has been released by the Organising Committee. The Congress, held on 13-17 November 2019 had welcomed 600 participants from 78 countries in Tokyo, Japan.

On 25 August, TAFISA Board Member, first vice-president of the Olympic Committee, and president of the expert council of Sports for All of the Republic of Slovenia, mag. Janez Sodržnik, visited the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OK BiH). Discussions with OK BiH Vice President Dr.

We are proud to introduce the organisations who have already joined us as official pacesetters for the TAFISA World Walking Day - 24 Hours Around the Globe, taking place on 3 October 2021 at 10am!

Pacesetters are leading organisations who raise awareness, promote and support the event, represent their community, and help engage as many participants and countries in the global 24-hour relay. 

The INTERACT partners held a virtual meeting on 25 August and reviewed the project’s advancement.

On Monday 2 August 2021, the TAFISA Certified Leadership Course (CLC) for Sport for All, hosted by the Saudi Sports for All Federation, commenced with an official opening ceremony which included words from Ms Shaima Saleh Alhusseini, Managing Director & CEO, Saudi Sport for All Federation and Mr Wolfgang Baumann, Secretary General, TAFISA.

We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former Judge Isaac Braz, at the age of 95.

Head of the Sport for All department in Israel from 1965 to 2002, as well as Founder and Deputy Chairman of Israel Sport for All Association since 1981, Isaac Braz was a leading figure of the Sport for All Movement in Israel and internationally.

The 7th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in Lisbon, Portugal, the first edition to take place as a hybrid event with the audience following the event through a digital platform, recorded over 15,000 views on the platform and close to 20,000 people reached on social networks between 18 and 24 June, 2021.
