Erasmus+ Sport Infoday / Erasmus+ Sport Project Coordinator’s Meeting 07 February 2020 On the 30th January TAFISA attended the annual Erasmus+ Sport Infoday, hosted by the European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). This event gathered sport stakeholders from all across Europe to inform on the political context, future programme and funding opportunities from 2020 and beyond. TAFISA Meets Partners in Lausanne 06 February 2020 In the framework of the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland (9-22 January), TAFISA Secretary General Wolfgang Baumann had an excellent opportunity to meet with various stakeholders in the Swiss city. Wolfgang Baumann was invited in his capacity as a Member of the IOC Sport and Active Society Commission to join the Commission’s meeting, where he reported on TAFISA’s current activities. InSport Partners Meeting held in Sportclub "Only Friends" in Amsterdam, Netherlands 21 January 2020 On 16-17 January, InSport project partners met in the unique inclusive stadium of Sportclub "Only Friends" in Amsterdam, Netherlands to refine the project's results and discuss InSport's future and legacy as the 2.5-year project is set to conclude on 31 June 2020. TAFISA Project Manager Gaëtan Garcia joined the other project partners to exchange on the development of guidelines for inclusion across Europe. 4th Americas Best Practices Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA 20 December 2019 On 13th and 14th December, TAFISA attended the 4th Americas Best Practices Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This event was jointly hosted by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Olympic Solidarity and Panam Sports. Attendees included leading figures from all 41 National Olympic Committees across the Americas as well as Ministries and sporting bodies. TAFISA Attends APEC Sports Cities Forum 09 December 2019 Invited by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation’s (APEC) Sport Policy Network (the ASPN), TAFISA attended the very first “APEC Sport Cities Forum: International Events x Sports Innovation” in Chinese Taipei on 5 November 2019. TAFISA’s Junior Director Jean-Francois Laurent was given the opportunity, as a keynote speaker, to introduce the audience to TAFISA’s initiatives, including the Global Active City Programme.
