The INTERACT Project Proceeds to a New Phase

The INTERACT Consultation Workshop and partners meeting, hosted by the International Fistball Association (IFA) and TAFISA in Linz, Austria and online on 28 – 29 June 2021, gathered some 24 International Sport Organisations that shared their Sport for All initiatives and experiences with each other – enabling the INTERACT partners to further define the direction that the project is taking.

Join International Sports Events Demo Show Hosted by Chinese Taipei

Due to COVID-19, many international sports events were cancelled or postponed. In this situation, online interaction become one of the new trending solution to break through this difficult time. Thus, Chinese Taipei invites host cities of international sports events (held in 2018-2020) to join the Online Popularity Contest. The Deadline is July 16, 2021. 

TAFISA Joins UN Women's Launch of Guidelines for Gender-responsive Sports Organisations

On Thursday 17 June 2021, TAFISA Business Development and Fundraising Manager Keri McDonald had the privilege to participate in the Launch of the Guidelines for Gender-responsive Sports Organisations, initiated by UN Women within the framework of HeForShe. The Guidelines are an excellent resource which translate the UN Women’s Sports for Generation Equality Principles into an easily adaptable step-by-step guide for global sport stakeholders.

Congratulations to the FLOT mentees on their CLC Certification!

On Thursday 10th June 2021, 13 FLOT mentees from 6 countries undertook an examination and were presented with a certification on the completion of the IOC-supported TAFISA Certified Leadership Course (CLC) in Sport for All. The international programme provided knowledge and training on key components of the Global Sport for All Movement to assist the mentees on their journey to become the next women leaders in Sport for All.

TAFISA Joins Pacific Regional Sports Reference Group

10 June 2021

TAFISA is honoured to have been invited by the Pacific Regional Sports Taskforce, which led the Oceania Olympic Committees (ONOC), regional UNESCO and WHO representations, Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme, University of the South Pacific and national governments of the region, to join the Pacific Regional Sports Reference Group.
