TAFISA has made a donation towards the victims of Cyclone Freddy in Mozambique. The donation was handed over by TAFISA Vice President Keenese Katisenge-Tizhani on Thursday 11 May in collaboration with the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC). The High Commissioner of Mozambique in Botswana, H.E Antonio Macheve, was also present to receive the donations.

The fifth workshop in the global Made to Play Coaching Girls Guide series was held on 9 May and co-organised by TAFISA and Nike Made to Play, in partnership with three members from the Balkans: Sport Union of Slovenia, Turkish Sport for All Federation, and Association Sport for All Serbia.

On 2-3 May, a TAFISA delegation comprised of President Wolfgang Baumann (Germany), along with TAFISA Vice-President Denis Karakasis, from the Ministry of Culture and Sports/General Secretariat of Sports, Greece, and Board Member Jacqueline Kronenburg, from the Knowledge Centre for Sport & Physical Activity, Netherlands, joined the EU Sport Forum held in Stockholm as part of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The workshop on Integrating Cultural Heritage, Sport and Physical Activity was organised by TAFISA as part of the Mission 2030 Workshop series. The objective of the workshop was to explore how to create more physical activities through cultural heritages and open more cultural heritage sites for sports and physical activity.

On 27 April, TAFISA President Wolfgang Baumann met with Sophie Kwasny, Executive Secretary of the Council of Europe's Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France.

Sasakawa Sports Foundation (SSF), a TAFISA National Member based in Tokyo, has published its “2022 National Sports-Life Survey”. The survey was designed to understand the levels of participation in sports and physical activities in Japan since 1992. 

TAFISA Treasurer Janez Sodrznik joined the public Webinar on Protecting and Promoting the Human Rights of Transgender and Intersex Ahletes in Sports, which was held on 24 April in Paris and online. The event was organised by the Council of Europe’s Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS), and featured panel discussions on combating discrimination and ensuring greater educational awareness of the human rights of transgender and intersex athletes.

From 19-21 April 2023, the University of Limerick hosted the first transnational partner meeting of the ‘International and European Sport Organisations Activate Citizens–Plus (INTERACT+) project.

On April 14th, 2023, a conference and round table on "equal opportunities in sport" was held at the prestigious Pretorian Palace in Koper, Slovenia, in connection with the Billie Jean King Cup. The event brought together various stakeholders in sports to discuss strategies, campaigns, and commitments towards equality in sports.
