Death of Isaac Braz

We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former Judge Isaac Braz, at the age of 95.

Head of the Sport for All department in Israel from 1965 to 2002, as well as Founder and Deputy Chairman of Israel Sport for All Association since 1981, Isaac Braz was a leading figure of the Sport for All Movement in Israel and internationally.

1st Meeting of the Mastermind Team tasked with Creating an “Innovations Hub”!

From Thursday 8th to Friday 9th July, TAFISA joined forces with creative minds in Heidelberg to continue working on the creation of an “Innovations Hub” as part of the Active City Innovation (ACI) project. The aim of the Innovation Hub is to provide leadership and guidance to generate innovation that will foster the joy of movement. Ultimately, increasing opportunities for participation in Sport for All and physical activity.

The Female Leaders of Tomorrow (FLOT) Mentees have been working hard over the past seven months to bring together their learnings and experiences to design their very own individual projects relating to Sport for All. The mentees had the option to undertake their project individually or as a joint effort with their co-mentee within their trio, with the guidance and support of their mentor.

7th Europe in Action Partner Meeting Hosted by TAFISA

On Wednesday 7 July, TAFISA hosted the 7th Europe in Action project partner meeting via Zoom. This meeting presented an opportunity for the partners to come together during a pivotal half-way point of the project. All 9 partners were in attendance and remain committed and motivated to fulfil the intended outputs of the project, even with the disruption occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The INTERACT Project Proceeds to a New Phase

The INTERACT Consultation Workshop and partners meeting, hosted by the International Fistball Association (IFA) and TAFISA in Linz, Austria and online on 28 – 29 June 2021, gathered some 24 International Sport Organisations that shared their Sport for All initiatives and experiences with each other – enabling the INTERACT partners to further define the direction that the project is taking.

Join International Sports Events Demo Show Hosted by Chinese Taipei

Due to COVID-19, many international sports events were cancelled or postponed. In this situation, online interaction become one of the new trending solution to break through this difficult time. Thus, Chinese Taipei invites host cities of international sports events (held in 2018-2020) to join the Online Popularity Contest. The Deadline is July 16, 2021.
