Sport for Life and their host partner, New York Road Runners, are excited to present the International Physical Literacy Conference 2023, taking place from May 2-5 in New York City.

We are happy to announce that "Integrating Cultural Heritage, Sport and Physical Activity", the ninth event in the TAFISA Mission 2030 Workshop Series, will be hosted on 4 May 2023, 13:00 – 15:00 (UTC+2) by TAFISA in partnership with SPACHE project. 

The Sports and Physical Activity in Cultural Heritage Environments (SPACHE) project held a project partners meeting in Guimaraes, Portugal, from 29-30th March, to discuss the progress of the tasks and deliverables, and consider the Social  Assessment Report. The Sport and Culture handbook and Journal were presented, and SPACHE capacity building modules were piloted during the meeting.

Olympism 365 Associate Director Ollie Dudfield and Senior Manager Susanne Gaerte met at the DOSB Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, on 20 March with officials from TAFISA represented by President Wolfgang Baumann, Secretary General Jean-Francois Laurent and Senior Manager Game Mothibi.

In 2028, Riyadh will welcome 1,000 Sport for All amateurs from 100 countries and 70,000 participants and visitors to the 9th TAFISA World Sport for All Games! TAFISA and Saudi Sports for All Federation are proud to announce that the 9th TAFISA World Sport for All Games 2028 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, following the election of the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) as host by the TAFISA General Assembly.

From 6-8 March, ENAIP NET hosted the first transnational meeting of the SIMS project in their Verona headquarters. The participants reviewed the sections of the initiative and defined the work plan for the coming months.

TAFISA attended the Global Observatory for Gender Equality & Sport’s Research & Action Think Tank strategy meeting and inaugural international conference under the theme ‘Inclusive Gender Equality in Sport’ which was held in Lausanne, Switzerland on the 31st of Jan -1st February 2023.

Liverpool John Moores University, TAFISA, and Evaleo, a leading provider of digital solutions for the sport and physical activity sector, collaborated to host The International Active City webinar. The objective was to bring together experts from varied fields to discuss the challenges and opportunities of promoting physical activity and sport in urban areas.

The INTERACT Plus project was successfully kicked off.

The Innovation in and through Sport for All: Perspectives and Opportunities TAFISA Mission 2030 Workshop took place on 17 January. The Workshop allowed for the discussion and presentation on the utilisation of modern technology to further achieve the goal of Sport for All. Speakers shared their innovative ideas for expanding participation and accessibility to sport and other physical activity.
